The whole SECA student body left Friday morning by bus to arrive at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. It took nine buses to take students and staff. Students got to experience hands on exhibits to learn more about how science, math, and the arts can be combined into everyday learning and how the world works. For a lot of students, this was their first time attending the laboratory and had a cool time learning in a different way. For the seniors on the other hand, this was their second time going to the laboratory.

For the freshmen, it was their first SECA field trip.

“It was dramatic. Some of the activities were so cool. My favorite would probably be the vibrating drum. The view of the bridge was so nice,” said Sopaknary Hgup (9).

Sophomores went on the field trip as well and for most, this was their first time experiencing the Exploratorium.

“This was my first time and it was fun. I liked the cinema that was there and the fishes were cool to look at. My favorite exhibit was the one where you enter a dark room and you see a ghost figure. The part that I liked the most was eating and the view of the bay,” said Sarah Khan (10).

Juniors got to experience hands on learning with all the different exhibits that the museum had to offer.

“It was a good experience because I got to see new things that I did not think existed. I had a lot of fun trying out all of the activities. The other cool thing was the view of the ocean. I would honestly recommend it because it relaxes your mind and it is a different kind of learning,” said Jacqueline Solorio (11).

Seniors went to the same place for the second time.

“I feel it was more fun this time because I could not do a lot last year because it was crowded. When I came my first time, I did not really know anyone so I just walked by myself, but this time I liked hanging with my friends. The shadow room that left your figure was my favorite activity. The view from upstairs was nice and it was cool how they added new exhibits, said Daniella Caluza (12).
